It’s Down Syndrome Awareness Month!

October is Down Syndrome Awareness Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness, promoting acceptance, and celebrating the lives and achievements of individuals with Down syndrome. This month-long observance aims to educate the public, dispel myths, and foster a more inclusive society where everyone is valued and respected.

Down Syndrome Awareness Month serves multiple purposes: education, advocacy, celebration, and support. To get involved, you needn’t look any further that GiGi’s Playhouse! You can:
• Educate yourself about Down syndrome on our website.
• Follow us on social media – Facebook and Instagram.
• Read up on the many existing programs offered at our Playhouse, and perhaps find a program that could benefit from your time as a volunteer!
• Call GiGi’s and ask about getting a tour of our fantastic facility!
• Wear blue and yellow, the official colors of Down syndrome awareness.
