Health & Wellness Policy
If volunteers or families come to a GiGi’s Playhouse program when they are not feeling well, they will be more vulnerable to infection. Individuals with Down syndrome may have additional medical diagnoses, making them more susceptible to illness. It is in the best interest of our participants, families and volunteers at GiGi’s Playhouse to stay at home when ill or exhibiting symptoms below. Children/adults need to be well in order to be able to actively participate in programs and other events at the Playhouse.
Here are some examples of when families or volunteers should not come into the Playhouse:
- Symptoms of diarrhea, runny nose (colored discharge) or vomiting within the past 24 hours
- Temperature over 100 degrees within the past 24 hours
- In the event they have contracted a case of head lice.
It is GiGi’s Playhouse policy that a child/adult must be free of symptoms for 24 hours before being allowed to re-enter the program.
Thank you for your support as we all do our part to keep everyone healthy!
