#BackedByBerman Update

Berman Subaru of Chicago made the largest single donation to GiGi’s Chicago as part of the 2018-19 Subaru Share The Love event.  We are incredibly grateful to them for donating $60,949 to our playhouse.  A few months have passed since they presented us with the check and we have some updates to share.   GiGi’s Chicago will utilize the funds in the following three ways:

1.  Parent Resource Center – We are working with a design firm to do a make-over of our entryway.   In the very near future, you’ll see an updated check-in area.  The area will have additional resources for our families.  One resource will include the printed #BestofAll books for each age-range.
2. Storage – When we re-opened our doors in 2017 after the expansion, we didn’t have the funds to put in extra storage.   The shelving currently in our Get Fit Gym area needs to be re-done and additional shelving and cabinetry installed in different areas throughout the playhouse.
3. Career Development Training – We have set-aside money to launch GiGi Prep and/or GiGi U.  The funds will be utilized for the additional equipment needed as well as any additional staff.   In addition, Berman Subaru of Chicago has agreed to work with us on accepting interns as part of the career development training programs.   We look forward to working with them as one of our community partners.
