RibFest 2019:  Volunteer for GiGi’s

Don’t miss this annual street party celebrating Ribs and Rock & Roll. Kick off summer at Ribfest Chicago!  Voted Chicago’s Best Food Fest, Ribfest Chicago is also nationally recognized for its music. Fest goers can enjoy 25 hours of original music, from honky tonk to indie and rock, performed by premier touring bands from across the US and abroad.

When and Where is RibFest?

RibFest starts Friday, June 14 ( 5-10 PM) and runs through Sunday, June 16 (noon to 10pm).  The festival is located at Lincoln/Irving Park/Damen (and runs north on Lincoln to Berteau). More information on the official festival website: www.Ribfest-Chicago.com.

How does GiGi’s fit into all of this??

Proceeds from the event and gate donations benefit Northcenter’s philanthropy and community programs. Ribfest Chicago has contributed over $350,000 to more than fifteen Northcenter schools and nonprofits!   GiGi’s Playhouse Chicago participates in the Grant Volunteer Program and receives funding based on the number of volunteers spots we can fill!

How can you help?

GiGi’s needs to fill the following shifts on Saturday, June 15th with thirty (30) volunteers:

•  GATE –  2:30 – 6:30pm and/or  6:00–10:00 pm
•  ID LINE –  2:45 – 6:45pm and/or 6:30–10:15 pm
•  BEVERAGE – 2:45  – 6:45 and/or  6:30–10:15 pm
•  VIP TENT –  2:45 – 6:45 and/or 6:30–10:15 pm
•  FAMILY ACTIVITY –  2:15 – 5:30pm and/or 5:15–8:30 pm

How to sign-up! (It’s easy!)

1. Complete the RibFest 2019 Volunteer Registration Form today.
2. Return the completed form to Amy at aarcher@gigisplayhouse.org ASAP along with a copy of photo id (tip: take a picture of your driver’s license with your phone.)

Who can volunteer? Are there any perks for volunteering other than earning money for GiGi’s?

While to majority of the slots do require volunteers to be 21+, there are slots available for minors.   Areas such as the Family Activity areas and VIP Tent are the perfect opportunity for kids to help out!

RibFest is a great opportunity to gather your friends, co-worker, family, etc. and volunteer as a group!   You do NOT need to attend a GiGi’s volunteer orientation to volunteer at RibFest.

Volunteers receive a FREE t-shirt and food/beverage tickets.

If we fill all the slots, we have the potential to raise $1,000++ for GiGi’s Chicago!
