Welcome OTA Student, Yesenia!

Written by Yesenia – OTA student from Wilbur Wright College

Hello, my name is Yesenia. I am an OTA student at Wilbur Wright College. I am currently completing my Fieldwork placement at GiGi’s Playhouse Chicago. I am completing a week placement at the Playhouse. I look forward to meeting families and interviewing families about their experience at the Playhouse and how it has made a difference in their lives. I currently reside in Northside of Chicago, IL. I have an Associate degree in Early Childhood. I graduated from Malcolm X College in 2017. I enjoy helping little ones navigate through the day as they prepare to transition into the school setting. My goal as an Assistant teacher is to make sure children are safe and introduce early literacy to expand vocabulary knowledge. I have worked in various private and HeadStart daycares throughout the Chicago area. I have also worked in schools in the North suburbs. In my free time I like shopping and walking around the neighborhood with my dog.
