Matt’s Impact Story

What bought you to GiGi’s Playhouse Chicago?

One of my friends, Jessie Jarosz, introduced me to GiGi’s Playhouse Chicago. I was looking to give back to people with disabilities, and, she introduced me to the Wednesday night activities where I would volunteer until I started tutoring.

What is your most memorable moment of impact in 2023?

My most memorable moment from 2023 was the GiGiFIT Acceptance Challenge. I volunteered on the committee for the event. It was great to see all the behind-the-scenes planning come to life. I also ran the race with friends and family. My cousin Jake, who has Down syndrome, was there to cheer me along!

What is your vision for 2024?

My vision for 2024 is to continue contributing to GiGi’s Playhouse Chicago in the ways I have been, while getting further involved with the larger events like the GiGiFIT Acceptance Challenge!
