Volunteer Spotlight: Abbey Keller

At GiGi’s Playhouse, we are incredibly grateful for our amazing volunteers who bring passion, dedication, and love to our community. This month, we are excited to spotlight Abbey Keller, a wonderful volunteer making a meaningful impact at GiGi’s Playhouse Canton!

Abbey is currently a senior at Kent State University, studying Exercise Science with a Physical Therapy focus. After graduation, she plans to pursue her Doctorate in Physical Therapy and hopes to work at Akron Children’s Hospital as a physical therapist. Her passion for helping others, especially children, shines through in everything she does!

Abbey first learned about GiGi’s Playhouse through a family friend who frequently shared their experiences as a volunteer. Inspired by our mission and the opportunity to work with children, Abbey jumped right in, eager to make a difference in the lives of others. She now serves as the GiGi Fit Infant and Toddler program leader, helping our youngest participants build strength, confidence, and coordination while having fun!

When asked about her favorite experience at GiGi’s, Abbey shared that she loves watching the kids progress and accomplish new goals. Seeing their growth and achievements makes her feel complete and reinforces why she loves being a part of the GiGi’s Playhouse family.

Beyond her volunteer work and studies, Abbey is a family-oriented person who cherishes quality time with her loved ones. She enjoys babysitting as a hobby and adores her two dogs.
