A Big Day at the Capitol for T21!

March 21st was extraordinary this year as many people gathered at the Capitol to witness the presentation of the House Resolution for Down Syndrome Consortium Day. Parents and advocates from key organizations supporting the T21 community had the opportunity to meet Governor Deal and speak with Representative Scott Hilton on critical issues affecting children and families across the state.

“It was an honor to take part in such a special proclamation,” said Howie Rosenberg, executive director of GiGi’s Playhouse Atlanta. “Strong support from our legislators is critical to creating opportunities for individuals with T21 and other disabilities.”

Key organizations in attendance included GiGi’s Playhouse Atlanta, Down Syndrome Association of Atlanta, National Down Syndrome Congress, Adult Disability Medical Home and Down Syndrome Center Department of Human Genetics – Emory University.
