Henry’s Best of All: Celebrating Milestones with LMNOP

At GiGi’s Playhouse Wausau, we believe in the power of early childhood education to shape the future of our little ones. One of our standout programs, LMNOP (Language, Music N’ Our Peeps), is designed to do just that. This interactive and engaging program guides parents and young children through learning basic sign language and other forms of communication using music and language-based activities. Recommended for ages newborn to 48 months, LMNOP is a cornerstone of our commitment to fostering early language development and social skills.

Why LMNOP is Essential

Language Development: LMNOP introduces and practices the use of basic signs, gestures, and pictures to support language development. This early exposure helps increase vocabulary, improve the ability to follow basic directions, and enhance social interactions with peers. Through music, stories, and play, children are immersed in a rich language environment that promotes learning in a fun and engaging way.

Preparation for Preschool: The program also focuses on introducing transitions and circle time, which are key skills needed to prepare children for preschool and beyond. These activities help children get accustomed to structured learning environments, making the transition to preschool smoother and more enjoyable.

Family Involvement: LMNOP is not just for children; it actively involves parents and siblings in the learning process. By participating in the activities, parents and siblings learn how to support their loved one’s language development at home, creating a consistent and supportive learning environment.

Henry’s Best of All Moment

One of the highlights of our LMNOP program is witnessing the “Best of All” moments, where children achieve personal milestones. Take Henry, for example. Initially, Henry was a bit hesitant to engage in the activities. However, with patience and encouragement, he began to participate more actively during the snowball parachute activity. The goal was to follow directions, clean up the snowballs and of course have some sensory fun.

Henry’s moment came when he not only followed the directions to participate but also took the initiative to help his peers clean up. This was a great achievement for Henry, showcasing his growing ability to follow instructions and engage in social interactions!

At GiGi’s Playhouse Wausau, we celebrate every child’s unique journey and milestones. Programs like LMNOP are designed to provide the tools and support needed for children to thrive. We invite you to join us and experience the joy of learning and growing together.
