Let’s Kick Grass at one of the MOST FUN kickball tournaments around! By lacing up your sneakers and putting your best “kick grass” forward, you will support individuals with Down syndrome and their families throughout North Central Wisconsin. October is Down Syndrome Awareness Month so let’s bring awareness and create acceptance!

The game you loved to play in 3rd grade is back and better than you remember it. A massive community of players where no one gets picked last. Maybe you'll find new besties and maybe you'll meet someone special- either way you'll make new friends and laugh at your old ones.

100% of team registration fees, sponsorships, and donations go to a great cause! If you cannot participate, please consider donating!

When: Saturday, October 26, 2024 Bracket begins at 9am

Where: Doepke Park, 151414 County Rd N, Wausau, WI 54401

Event Details: The day will include a double elimination bracket kickball tournament and raffles. With the unpredictability of Wisconsin weather in late October, we will use it as a reason to huddle around outdoor heaters and eat warm comfort food provided by Merget’s Mouthwatering Mayhem. The bracket winning team will get the trophy! We will also have a fun kickball bracket for those under 16 and participants will compete against a team of costumed/mascots!!!

Skill Level: Everyone is Welcome!

Event Rules: Coming Soon!

Rosters: Each team will need to include an even number of kickers and MUST be co-ed. Teams need to have 10 players on a roster. Everyone on the roster will kick. Everyone must be 16 years and older.

Uniforms: We encourage teams to wear gear that is yellow and blue or because it is October, Halloween costumes. There will be a trophy for the team with the Best Team Spirit!

Coaches: Each team is allowed to have a first and third base coach on the field, in the coaches’ boxes.

Game Length: A kickball game will last 45 minutes or 5 innings. The team with the most runs at the end of either wins.

Outs: If a player gets three strikes, he or she is called out. A player is also out if their kicked ball is caught by a player on the opposing team. In addition, a player is out when he or she is hit by the ball while in between bases. A player is forced out when he or she must run to a base during a play and that base is tagged by an opposing player who is holding the ball.
