2019 CNY Buddy Walk Registration is LIVE!

GiGi’s Playhouse Syracuse is thrilled to be the new host of the annual NDSS Buddy Walk!  This year’s 25th Anniversary Buddy Walk (21st year in Syracuse) will take place on Sunday, September 29, 2019, at Long Branch Park at Onondaga Lake Parkway in Liverpool, NY. Festivities will include the walk, lunch, raffles, GiGi’s program spotlights and lots of FUN, FUN, FUN for our families!  Most importantly, the Buddy Walk is an opportunity to celebrate achievements and raise awareness within our community and to change the way the world views Down syndrome, together.

Your generous involvement will provide opportunities for more individuals to learn to read, improve their health and wellness, develop career skills, and live truly fulfilling lives.

Registration is free for everyone! 

Individuals with Down syndrome will receive one free short sleeve shirt. Additional shirts can also be purchased on the Syracuse Buddy Walk page.

New this year! You now have the option of registering online and inviting friends and family to join your TEAM!  Within this team page, you have the choice to help GiGi’s Playhouse Syracuse & NDSS by fundraising, but this is not a requirement of participating! 

When: September 29th, 2019 10:30 am (Registration opens at 9:30)

Where: Longbranch Park, Liverpool NY (Same great locations we have enjoyed for years!)

Who: The entire community! Everyone is welcomed!

Why: NDSS believes the Buddy Walk® can engage the community in a way that touches its heart and feeds its soul. GiGi’s Playhouse is honored to partner with NDSS to continue celebrating and raising awareness and acceptance for individuals and families living with Down syndrome! We will use this day to not only celebrate but connect our community with the FREE programming that happens all year long at GiGi’s Playhouse Syracuse.

What do we need? In the words of Self Advocate Sarah Stewart, who encouraged us all our the first informational meeting  “we can all make a difference!”

• Donate new or gently loved stuffed animals for our epic games, every kid wins!
