Spotlight on Kindness: Aubrey, Jackie & Shannon – Celebrating Their Best of All!
At GiGi’s Playhouse Sacramento, we’re so lucky to be surrounded by families and volunteers who bring our mission of acceptance for all to life every single day. Their stories remind us what GiGi’s is all about—connection, love, and celebrating every milestone along the way. This month, we’re excited to spotlight two incredible families who embody the heart of GiGi’s: Aubrey and Jackie, and our amazing Board member Shannon!

Hi! We are Aubrey and Jackie! Our family was introduced to GiGi’s Playhouse when Aubrey’s son, Jack, was born in 2020. Jackie is Jack’s proud Grammy. When Jack was born, we heard about a place that would embrace and celebrate his diagnosis of Down syndrome—and GiGi’s Playhouse quickly became that place for us.
It’s more than a program—it’s a community. A space where Jack’s milestones, big or small, are celebrated with happiness and surrounded by people who understand, encourage, and cheer him on every step of the way.
We first connected with the Playhouse through the LMNOP program, where we immediately found a welcoming community that felt like family. The laughter, songs, and friendships made every visit something special. From that first moment, we knew we had found our people.

In 2023, we joined the committee for the GiGi’s Playhouse Golf Tournament, giving us the opportunity to share GiGi’s with others and spread the word about this incredible organization. Being part of such a fun and meaningful event allowed us to give back to a place that means so much to us—and to help raise awareness and support for all the amazing programs GiGi’s offers.
We are so excited to watch Jack grow and know that GiGi’s Playhouse will be with him every step of the way. From early learning programs to future adventures with Fantastic Friends, Jack’s journey is just beginning—and we can’t wait to see all the wonderful moments ahead!
Thank you, Aubrey and Jackie, for your dedication, heart, and incredible support at the Golf Tournament. You helped make it a success, and we’re so grateful you’re part of our GiGi’s family!

We are also so lucky to have Shannon as part of our GiGi’s Playhouse Sacramento Board! Shannon faithfully attends our monthly meetings and is always ready to jump in and help wherever she’s needed.
Recently, she supported us at the Jake Burger event, and you’ll also find her lending a hand at the GiGiFIT Acceptance Challenge and the annual Golf Tournament. Shannon represents GiGi’s Playhouse Sacramento with so much pride and positivity—she’s truly a joy to work with and an incredible ambassador for our mission.
Her enthusiasm is contagious, her kindness shines through in everything she does, and she continually inspires others to give their Best of All. We’re beyond grateful for her dedication and the many ways she helps GiGi’s grow and thrive.

Our GiGi’s family is filled with people like Aubrey, Jackie, and Shannon, who give their time, heart, and energy to make sure every individual with Down syndrome knows their value and potential.
Each act of kindness, each smile, each helping hand—together, they create something truly special. Because at GiGi’s Playhouse, we celebrate every person, every achievement, and every ounce of love that brings us together.
