Halloween at GiGi’s Playhouse Sacramento 

A Spooky Good Time!

We’re having a great Halloween season at GiGi’s Playhouse Sacramento! Over the last month we’ve hosted lots of fun & purposeful programming, some with a fun Halloween twist! 

Our resident rockstar/super special volunteer Mia attended and volunteered at various Halloween themed events in October, stay tuned to hear all about them! 

LMNOP & Leaps and Bounds- Pumpkin Themed 

For Leaps and Bounds we did activities like coloring pumpkins and singing a song about pumpkins. We also did a mystery box activity- each kid got to choose a prize from the mystery box. The prizes were pumpkins! Then they decorated their own pumpkin with fun stickers. We also had a hide a pumpkin sensory activity, volunteers hid the pumpkins inside the paper grass in sensory buckets then the kids had to find them. I read the story “One Little Pumpkin” to all the kids! Everyone had a great time!

Fantastic Friends Halloween Party 

Fantastic Friends held our annual Halloween Party! We started the night sharing who we were dressed up as, then we did a costume fashion show on the stage. We decorated wooden pumpkin decorations in fun colors. After that we did a fun activity where we wrapped someone up in toilet paper to make them into a mummy. Then we did the Oreo Minute to Win it Game where you have to get an Oreo from your forehead to your mouth without using your hands. Neither me or Claire was successful but we had fun trying! We also made a fun reel dancing on the stage! We played Halloween Bingo and ended the night with a Just Dance Party! 

Halloween Concert-

The ROG’s (Rockin’ Out GiGi’s) held a great Halloween Concert! It was super duper fun! Every one dressed up in costumes, I was a creepy clown. Some other good costumes were a dragon, Ariel from the Little Mermaid, Beetlejuice, Miguel from Coco, and a vampire. We started the show entering to the theme song from the Adams Family and snapping our fingers. Each performer had their own song, I performed Sugar by Maroon 5! I did my signature splits at the end- it was a big hit. We all had food afterwards, pizza and sandwiches. A lot of people showed up for the concert and had a great time! 

Trunk or Treat- 

We had so much fun at the annual GiGi’s Playhouse Trunk or Treat. Fantastic Friends hosted a booth- it was Costco themed!! Everyone was very creative with their costumes and I got lots of treats from the different trunks. There were also fun games including a football throw where I got two touchdowns! One of my favorite costumes was Timmy the Tiger! Another was Dante the In & Out Burger worker, which matched my burger costume! I got to perform my song, Sugar, at the Pumpkin Patch booth with Nancy & Mr. Alan. I got to see some of my high school friends at their booth which was fun and a lot of my GiGi’s friends as well. 

We had such a great time celebrating the spooky season with all of you! Happy Halloween from all of us at GiGi’s Playhouse Sacramento!
