Fantastic Friends Celebrates Karen <3

Honoring our favorite Program & Volunteer Coordinator!

In March our Fantastic Friends held a very special themed night- “All About Karen”, featuring activities celebrating one of our favorite people/moms- Karen Siino! 

Our ice breaker question was Karen’s favorite activity of the night! We asked everyone to share their favorite memory with Karen, or favorite thing about Karen. Everyone had really nice things to say!

After we shared, we took inspiration from Karen’s favorite TV show- The Property Brothers for our next activity and designed our dream houses. Once we designed our houses we shared with the whole group. Claire’s house has a disco ball in the attic! Mia’s house was Special Olympics themed and has an elevator, bocce ball area, and an attached apartment just for Claire! 

For our next activity we played Karen Trivia! We put together a list of questions that had fun facts about Karen- favorite color, where she went to college, and more! Mia knew all the answers! 

Then we played Karen Bingo. Karen Bingo is a fun twist on the regular game of bingo where every box featured an image with Karen’s face included! Karen’s review of the game “It was interesting…” We had a great time playing!

After Bingo we played a fun game of charades. Charades was one of our first games we played in Fantastic Friends when we first started 4 years ago- Karen made us the first set of cards we used, so it was a fun throwback! 

We finished up the night with Karen’s favorite activity- Just Dance! We opened our dance party with “What Makes You Beautiful” by One Direction- a favorite of ours and Karens! 

When asked about the night Karen said “I loved spending time with my Fantastic Friends, they’re my favorite group! It was the best Saturday night!”
