Positive Impact of Community Partnerships: KFACT

The impact of community partnerships on the Playhouse can never be underestimated.  On Saturday, October 22nd, we had the most amazing Halloween party thrown by our friends at KFACT! KFACT is a nonprofit organization that provides holistic mentoring to at-risk girls in the Rockford area. Their programs are genuinely making an impact on a high-risk population that is often overlooked. We appreciate all they do for the community, and we’re so happy to have them at the Playhouse. The KFACT team and the incredible young women in their mentoring programs did a fabulous job with this party! It was a hit with our 0–12-year-old kiddos and their family members, and the festive decorations and four activity stations kept the little ones busy and having a great time. These stations included spooky slime making, Halloween cookie decorating, pumpkin painting, and face painting.

Watching our participants and their families have a blast with our friends from KFACT was so special, and we can’t wait to have everyone back for another party soon. With the Holidays coming up, keep an eye on our Facebook page and calendar to be sure you don’t miss another festive bash! We would also like to invite you to visit KFACT’s website, check out its programs, and learn more about what they do. Thank you so much, KFACT!
