LMNOP

Through the eyes of an LMNOP program leader,

I’m a preschool teacher, so I love leading groups of children, and when I saw all of the beautiful, smiling faces of the children and parents attending our first LMNOP session, I was overwhelmed with excitement!  I was a little nervous beforehand, since it was my first class, but their joy and enthusiasm were infectious, and I couldn’t wait to get started.  Our LMNOP activities include music and movement, sign language, story time, and lots of sensory activities.  We end our sessions with “Parent Share,” which I love, because parents are able to share things they do at home, success stories, etc.  The volunteers get to spend time playing and working with the children, and the parents get to know each other and interact in a safe environment.  I can honestly say that working at GiGi’s has been the best volunteer opportunity I’ve ever had.  The love and warmth shown by everyone, from the participants to all of the volunteers is second to none!
