Kendra Scott gives back to GiGis playhouse!

On Saturday, May 6th our team at the Kendra Scott store in Raleigh, NC hosted a Kendra Gives Back event for GiGi’s Playhouse, where 20% of all sales went back to their wonderful organization. Little did we know how much they would be giving back to us in return! The day started with complimentary makeovers given by Lisa Macario and a glamorous photo shoot at the store by Patricia Meszler with Patricia Meszler photography. Not only did the GiGi’s Playhouse young adults look beautiful, but their personalities really shined through in their photos.

The rest of the afternoon was spent greeting customers as they came in the store, playing dress up with jewelry, and shopping for upcoming special occasions, like prom and graduation. Our team loved getting to know the young women better, and said it was one of their favorite days at work to date! The GiGi’s community came out in droves to support, and the camaraderie could be felt by every single person that walked in to the store.

Kendra Scott was founded on the mantra “Family, Fashion and Philanthropy”, which remains at the heart of our business today. While our brand continues to grow, we continue to hold philanthropy as one of our core values. Having an opportunity to spend time with the participants, volunteers and families of GiGi’s Playhouse was invaluable and a true inspiration. We are proud to help support an organization that creates social involvement and inclusivity for people of all races, ages, backgrounds and disabilities. Kendra Scott is honored to be a small part of helping change the way the world views Down syndrome, and we look forward to a continued partnership for years to come!
