We completed 21 Days of Kindness in October at GiGi’s Playhouse Raleigh

21 Days of Kindness – October 2017

If you follow us on Facebook, you’ve seen how much fun everyone’s had doing kind acts for others. Our amazing participants touched the hearts of many in the community by sharing their unique gifts with them, #21DaysofKindnessRAL.

Here are some of the highlights:

Who knew our GiGi Prep adults were such great chefs!! They traveled to Holly Springs Fire Department and cooked a delicious Italian meal for our fire fighters. Rep John Ray Bradford visited GiGi’s Playhouse Raleigh and enjoyed a Mexican feast with us. We also spent time with The Cary Page Rotary Club serving coffee and drinks during their meeting.

Our awesome teens had fun painting pictures on kindness rocks to give to friends and made “compliment apples” for visitors.

To thank our military friends at Fort Bragg for all they do, the 21Stars group wrote special notes to them and showed kindness by giving out lemonade and cookies in the community.

There’s a beautiful canvas now displayed on the art wall that was created with the hand prints of our LMNOP participants. Make sure you drop in to see the wonderful job they did!

Everyone had so much fun selling hot dogs and drinks from a hot dog cart in Raleigh and putting on a car wash at Smithfield’s Chicken ‘N Bar-B-Q in Morrisville!! There was lots of singing and dancing while making new friends.

We even surprised our good friends Annie at Whole Foods and Matthew at Chic-fil-A. They work so hard and we’re all very proud of them.

Our last day of kindness was to spread the mission of GiGi’s Playhouse to another part of the state. We donated $10,000 to the startup team at GiGi’s Playhouse CHARLOTTE to help in their efforts to open a 2nd GiGi’s Playhouse in North Carolina.

The generous spirit and big hearts of all our participants made us love them even more for the special wonderful individuals they are.

Thank you to all our donors and volunteers for all the support you give us at GiGi’s Playhouse Raleigh!!
