Speech and Language Pathologist Needed

GiGi’s Playhouse Quad Cities is seeking a Speech and Language Pathologist to help with and oversee the Amina Grace Speech and Language Program. GiGi’s is a non-profit organization that provides services to individuals with Down syndrome and their families.

This contracted position requires a commitment of providing weekly 60-minute therapy lessons for 5 participants. Sessions can be scheduled around your availability making this a perfect second and/or part time position. Pay is estimated at $30 per hour (negotiable).

Applicants for the contract position must have their Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).

The Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible for organizing and implementing the GiGi’s Playhouse Amina Grace Speech & Language program to meet the needs of participants through GiGi’s Playhouse-Quad Cities Additionally, the Speech Language Pathologist works to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication and cognitive-communication disorders in children and adult participants.

There will be training provided by our national office specific to the GiGi’s Playhouse Amina Grace Speech and Language program.

GiGi’s Playhouse programs are innovative therapeutic and educational programs for children and adults with Down syndrome, designed to develop confidence and the development of a broad variety of skills – educational, therapeutic and career development.

Founded in 2003, GiGi’s Playhouse Inc.’s mission is to change the way the world views Down syndrome through national campaigns, educational programs, and by empowering individuals with Down syndrome, their families, and the community. All programs are free and are therapeutic in nature. Each one of our programs is designed to work on specific skill development, including speech and language, literacy, socialization and fine and gross motor skills. GiGi’s Playhouse currently has over 35 locations across North America and growing by several locations annually.
