Learning Centers & Homework Help AT GIGI’S PLAYHOUSE

home-slide-1

If you are looking for innovative and exciting ways to stimulate your child’s mind and encourage them to learn new skills, visit us at GiGi’s Playhouse.  There are a variety of fun and educational programs to choose from, including our new Learning Centers & Homework Help, wherein we open the Playhouse to children of all ages and their families and provide numerous activities for them to share.  There are currently four different stations that allow children to experience and learn at their own pace, including arts and crafts, the sensory area, dramatic play, and homework help. Example activities include using one’s senses to touch, taste, and smell lemons, sugar, and water, and to see the process of combining these things to make lemonade; and learning how to mix different colors of paint to create a new color, just as Bella did in the last session. She learned that by mixing the yellow and blue paints, the color green is made! After mixing just the right color green, she painted grass on the bottom of the puppet show set, bringing it to life.  At GiGi’s Playhouse, literacy4 children and their families with hands-on learning, helping to develop and grow fine and gross motor skills as well as mental capacity.  The atmosphere created by this program will nourish your child’s abilities, so come see for yourself just how fun learning can be.

Hi Liz: Opening the Playhouse to children and families…a really inviting concept. When I was a kid we had a playhouse in the rear of a neighbors big back yard. After school a few of us would gather there and do our homework. This was our space and because it was so comfortable, having friends around wasn’t a distraction, just the opposite. We each concentrated on our task, and sometimes were able to help each other. Looking forward to doing homework? Maybe, but we got to play too. And, we have remained friends for all of our lives. Sounds like GiGi’s Playhouse.
Liz, thank you for your efforts, time and energy. You are a Volunteer, a Teacher, and a Builder of Futures! Keep up the GREAT WORK!
