Turn up the music and get ready to move—Dance SHiNE is one of the most high-energy, joy-filled programs at GiGi’s Playhouse! Designed for our participants ages 13+, this class has become a true highlight of the week for so many.

From the moment the music starts, the room comes alive. It’s loud, upbeat, and so much fun—with everyone dancing, laughing, and giving it their all. Not only is it a blast, but it’s also an incredible workout that builds strength, confidence, and self-expression.

What makes Dance SHiNE extra special is the sense of community it creates. Each session wraps up with a powerful tradition—everyone gathers in a circle, hands in, taking a moment to celebrate the effort, encourage one another, and recognize just how hard they’ve worked. It’s a simple moment that leaves a big impact.

Dance SHiNE has been a beloved staple of our programming for years, and it’s easy to see why. It’s more than just a class—it’s a place where participants can SHiNE, support each other, and leave feeling stronger, happier, and proud of what they accomplished.

Abigail is a shining example of what makes GiGi’s Playhouse so special. Since joining us last semester from Oklahoma, she has truly jumped into everything we have to offer—from Adult Education to Dance SHiNE, GiGiFIT, Fantastic Friends, TeenTastic, Kitchen, and CrossFit. Her enthusiasm, positivity, and willingness to try new things have made her such a valued part of our community.

With a dream of becoming a teacher, Abigail set her sights on turning that passion into action. During her time in programming, she worked closely with our OT interns, building skills in lesson planning, leadership, and tutoring strategies. Through her hard work and dedication, she stepped into a new role as a math tutor—and absolutely thrived.

Abigail brought patience, creativity, and encouragement to every session, and the impact she made was clear—her student absolutely adores her! Watching her grow into a confident and capable tutor has been so special, and we couldn’t be more proud of all she’s accomplished.

And the excitement doesn’t stop there—Abigail has been accepted into a college program this fall! 🎉 This is such an incredible next step on her journey to becoming a teacher, and we know she is going to do amazing things.

Abigail, your hard work, heart, and determination inspire all of us. We can’t wait to see where your journey takes you next—you will always have a home cheering you on at GiGi’s Playhouse!

If you’ve spent any time at GiGi’s Playhouse, chances are you’ve met Grant—and if you have, you know just how special he is!

Grant is a regular in our Dance SHiNE, Kitchen Adult, and Fantastic Friends programs, and he brings energy, laughter, and positivity everywhere he goes. He is an absolute joy to be around—funny, upbeat, and always ready for a good time.

One thing about Grant? He’s always dancing. Whether he’s in Dance SHiNE showing off his incredible moves or in the middle of Kitchen Adult, you can count on Grant to be grooving and spreading smiles. His love for dancing is contagious, and he keeps the fun going in every program he attends!

Beyond his amazing dance skills, Grant is also incredibly kind and helpful. He’s always jumping in to lend a hand, whether it’s helping set up for programs or supporting those around him. He has built so many friendships with fellow participants, staff, and volunteers—it’s clear how much he is loved by everyone in our Playhouse community.

Grant, thank you for bringing your joy, your energy, and your awesome dance moves to GiGi’s Playhouse. We are so lucky to have you!

If you’ve ever experienced Dance SHiNE at GiGi’s Playhouse, then you already know—Brittany is something special.

From the moment she walks into the room, Brittany brings an infectious energy that instantly lifts everyone up. Her classes are more than just workouts—they’re filled with joy, encouragement, and connection. She has a way of making every participant feel seen, celebrated, and capable of amazing things.

Brittany leads with so much compassion, kindness, and positivity, and it shows. Participants, staff, and volunteers all absolutely adore her, and it’s no surprise that her class is one everyone looks forward to each week.

But what makes Brittany truly incredible is the impact she has beyond the music and movement. She builds confidence, strength, and self-belief in every person in that room. She reminds participants to be proud of their effort, to support one another, and to keep shining—on and off the dance floor.
