GiGi’s Playhouse McHenry County Adds Depth and Breadth to Board
Jason Shreeves, a local financial planner in McHenry and Mary Anderson, an Occupational Therapist who specializes in Early Intervention for people with special needs, have joined the Board of Managers at GiGI’s Playhouse McHenry County.

Jason started volunteering at GiGi’s many months ago working with young adults.  He has a financial investment practice and is an agent for Country Financial with an office in McHenry.  Jason advises individuals and business owners in a number of areas including estate plans, business plans, and personal risk management.  Jason says, “I joined the board because I believe in the Gigi’s mission and with my knowledge and background trust that I can increase awareness in the community and see to the continued success of the Playhouse. Since volunteering for TEAM I have met many wonderful and inspiring individuals whom I look forward to seeing on a weekly basis. The PH is an inspiring place and we are very fortunate to have one in our community.”

Mary Anderson comes to our Playhouse with incredible credentials and a lifetime of experiences working with people with special needs.  She has both a Bachelors and Masters of Science degrees in Occupational Therapy.  She is an Early Intervention Provider and Evaluator credentialed and has trained extensively in Sensory Integration.  She has also trained in the SOS (Sequential Oral Sensory) approach to feeding as well as the Beckman Oral Motor Program and Therapeutic Listening.  Mary has worked as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist in Illinois and Arkansas and is currently in private practice as an Early Intervention Occupational Therapist where she evaluates and treats children in their homes, aged birth-3, with diagnoses including Autism, Sensory Processing Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, other neurological disorders, and prematurity. She also collaborates with other therapists during treatment sessions, Individual Family Service Planning and IEP development. Mary says she has a big heart and is committed to being an advocate for people with special needs.  She says that children are her specialty and that she thinks she can really contribute to programming.
