Meet Khushi, Our New Hugs and Mugs Volunteer!

This month, we want to recognize a new volunteer to our playhouse. Khushi started as a volunteer in our Hugs and Mugs Café just this month, working alongside our participants helping them complete their certifications. We asked her what brought her into our playhouse, “I wanted to volunteer at Gigi’s Playhouse because of its incredible dedication to empowering individuals with Down syndrome and creating an inclusive space where participants can learn, grow, and connect with others through various activities. It is truly an inspiring organization, and I wanted to be part of a community that fosters such positivity and support,” Not only does she serve our population in the greatest way, but she is also dedicated to the mission.

We also asked her the impact of her time volunteering has provided for her, “Volunteering at Gigi’s Playhouse has impacted me in very positive way as it has allowed me to connect with amazing individuals and improve important skills such as communication and collaboration!”

We are so grateful to have her here with us and can’t wait to continue to get to know her and continue to see the amazing impact she will have on our community!

If you’re interested in becoming a volunteer and getting involved with GiGi’s, just like Khushi, use THIS LINK to get started today!
