Love and Literacy

Marcia Sterenberg knew how important GiGi’s was to Jeremy and their family. She often commented that she thought GiGi’s was an integral part of Jeremy’s achievement and helping him reach his goals and potential. She loved the motto of GiGi’s Playhouse: Educate. Inspire. Believe.

Marcia, a retired teacher, believed that literacy was very important in life.  She and Jeremy loved to spend time reading to each other. She also enjoyed watching Jeremy in his tutoring sessions, followed up by a stop in Hugs & Mugs to grab a snack and visit with the current interns about their roles and responsibilities. She would have loved to see Jeremy work as an intern in the store one day.

Jeremy Johnson is proud of all the programs he has attended throughout the years at GiGi’s Playhouse. Jeremy has consistently attended Teen Tastic, the Amina Grace Speech and Language program, Literacy and Math tutoring. He was always so proud to bring his Grandma Marcia throughout the years to see the magnificent progress he made through our purposeful programs.

When Marcia got sick, she started to plan out her funeral. She stated that there are many charities that are important, but I want the memorial money to go to GiGi’s Playhouse.  It is very important to my grandson, Jeremy and for his future.  Click here to donate in Marcia’s memory.
