Carolyn Crusader’s Crushing Goals!

Carolyn is 5 years old and she is the youngest of our 5 children.  Her siblings are Cassandra (26), Jessica (24), Joseph (21) & Christopher (17); needless to say, she is super spoiled and loved!!!

It has been while since Carolyn attended programs at GiGi’s Playhouse. She had a hard time with different surroundings when she was younger. Carolyn has definitely matured since those days and is doing great with transition. In anticipation of starting kindergarten this fall, Carolyn’s family was encouraged by their friend, Shari Andress, National Education Coordinator for Gigi’s Playhouse, to sign her up for literacy & math tutoring. When  Carolyn’s mom Theresa did that she realized how incredibly blessed we are to have this opportunity to access at no cost to us, such amazing programs. They then wanted to be a part of supporting them and helping to keep these opportunities a viable option for all the children that benefit and will benefit in the future. When we heard about the GiGiFIT Acceptance Challenge we knew that would be a perfect opportunity to support GiGi’s Playhouse. We created team Carolyn’s Crusader’s. We are proud to announce that we have “Crushed” our goal! Their family is so excited to attend the Hoffman Estates GiGiFIT Acceptance Challenge event June 5th, 2021.  This will be the first time back to the Playhouse since Carolyn was a baby.

“We are super grateful for Gigi’s Playhouse and excited back to the playhouse!!!”- Theresa Calderisi
