New Program Alert: Dance!!

Do you love to dance? Do you feel the beat when you hear a great song come on the radio? If so, we have an awesome new program starting next week for all the dancers out there! Dance will be offered at GiGi’s Playhouse as a limited-time program for Spring and Summer 2020.

This program will be exercise in a fun, upbeat way through a variety of dance styles including a mix of contemporary/lyrical, jazz, and hip-hop! Each class will begin with a warm up, followed by floor work, group activities, and rehearsal of a custom routine that will be performed at the end of the session to show the participants’ achievements during the session.

Our wonderful volunteer instructor is Madison Wohlwend, who has been dancing (and competing) since she was two and volunteering for GiGi’s since she was 14. She has a background in jazz, lyrical, contemporary, ballet, modern, hip hop, and musical theatre.

Check out these amazing videos of Madison’s skills in contemporary choreography HERE and a competitive hip-hop routine HERE! We can’t wait to have her teach you some moves.

All are welcome; the classes will be split into a Kids class (ages 5-12) every Monday from 4:30-5:30 pm and a Teens & Adults class (ages 13+) every Monday from 5:30-6:30 pm. The Spring session will run for 15 weeks and have a group performance at the end, and the Summer session will be 10 weeks and be more free form with no performance.

No experience required! Please RSVP for Dance: Kids and Dance: Teens & Adults at our calendar for the Spring session, which starts on Monday, January 27 and ends on May 4. No experience required! We can’t wait to see you!
