Jenny is a Jewel that shines!

Jenny Pavlik has always been a determined, hard working young lady.

Two months after graduating High School, Jenny applied at Jewel in Buffalo Grove.  She filled out an application with the help of a job coach from Countryside Assoc. for People with Disabilities. In September, 2005 Jenny was hired as a front end clerk at Jewel!

In 2010, Jenny transferred to the Jewel in downtown Barrington. Following a family move from Palatine to Inverness, and it was closer to their new home.  Fortunately, when they transferred her to the Barrington Jewel her boss was the same one she had at Buffalo Grove years before. The transition went very smoothly.

Her responsibilities as a front-end clerk is to bag groceries, and provide excellent customer service to everyone she interacts with.  She also assists with overstocks and store organization.

She loves doing what she does; Jenny just celebrated her 15 year anniversary with Jewel!  She gets along well with all her co-workers and together they make a great team.

The Pavlik’s  are very fortunate that Jenny had good training from the day one, and has really blossomed in her job.  She has a set schedule with Jewel and works 12 to 14 hours a week.

While working at Jewel, Jenny also graduated from GiGi U in December of 2014.  In January 2015, she began her internship with Hugs and Mugs.  Learning all the aspects of the retail business and customer service.  She loves doing inventory and making coffee, scooping gelato too!

Jenny’s mom, Linda Pavlik,, is proud to honestly say that Hugs & Mugs store manager Michael Scott has been an huge asset to Hugs and Mugs and has taught Jenny many new things.

“Jenny brings so much energy to Hugs and Mugs and constantly finds projects to work on during her shift. We are glad that she continues to grow and work on her job skills at Hugs and Mugs and Jewel! Jenny also attends the Hugs and Mugs virtual calls where she goes above and beyond to keep up with her Hugs and Mugs Certification practice. Jenny even asks for additional practice sheets for her time at home. Jenny has helped make the Hugs and Mugs program better and we will continue to improve the store through Jenny’s hard work and feedback.”- Hugs & Mugs store manager Michael Scott
