Meet our New Literacy Coordinator!

With our booming and ever-growing tutoring program at GiGi’s Playhouse, we needed some extra help! Meet Lizbeth Rodriguez, who is our new Literacy Coordinator and will be helping with anything tutors and families need during their sessions.

We’ve been hard at work creating the schedule for the Summer 2019 session for literacy and math tutoring. It’s no easy task but we got in as many people as we possibly could while trying to create meaningful progressions and relationships for everyone! Lizbeth is doing great and is determined to benefit the program as much as possible throughout the session.

Here’s what Lizbeth has to say about her experience so far:

“Being at GiGi’s Playhouse has been a very fun experience, the best part being that it doesn’t even feel like volunteering! This is my first time volunteering and I’ve always wanted it to be something I’m passionate about. I specifically chose GiGi’s because of the wonderful purpose it serves. I already feel like I’m making a difference and having an impact. I am currently a student and am really looking forward to spending the rest of my free time at GiGi’s!”

Our volunteers are truly the backbone of everything we do at GiGi’s Playhouse and we cannot thank them enough for the time they give to help us keep our puposeful programs free!
