Tips for getting started volunteering!

Volunteering doesn’t have to take over your life to be beneficial. In fact, research shows that just two to three hours per week can have great benefits. Our volunteers at GiGi’s are worth their weight in gold. They share their time and talents without any hesitation, so it’s crucial to acknowledge their contributions and let them know they are valued and appreciated!

If volunteering is something you are interested in, we would love to have you become a volunteer at GiGi’s Playhouse! There are a few steps that need to be completed so you can become a volunteer at our programs. First, you will need to go to the Hoffman Estates website (https://gigisplayhouse.org/hoffmanestates/) and click the Volunteer button in the upper right hand corner. That will bring you to the application which will be need to be completely fill out. Afterwards, it will give you more information regarding mandatory Volunteer Orientation. This will be taking place at the Playhouse on Tuesday, November 10th from 6 PM – 7:30 PM. During that time, you will learn more about the organization, get a tour of the Playhouse, and we will talk with you 1:1 to see what your interests are.
