October 14th- Kristin and Samantha

“As we celebrate Down syndrome Awareness Month, I can’t help but reflect on the beautiful journey our Samantha has taken us on. I’ll never forget the day our doctor called with a prenatal diagnosis of Down syndrome. I was scared, angry, devastated, and just plain terrified that life would never be the same. I wish I could go back and tell my 29 year old self that life would not be the same…it would be beautiful. Samantha has taught me more about love, acceptance, patience, and joy in her four short years of life than I could possibly imagine. She is the light of our life and she is a continuous reminder to slow down and enjoy the beauty in every moment.”

-Kristin, mom to Samantha

Samantha is involved in Family Fun Night, Destination Discovery, and Dance
