Meet our LMNOP Co-Leaders

We are back in action with Language Music N Our Peeps aka LMNOP! We can’t wait for all of our families with little ones pre-natal diagnosis to 36 months to join us every Saturday this summer starting July 1st at 10:30am!

We are very excited to introduce you to our NEW Program Co-Leaders, Sanj and Shreya!!!

My name is Sanjana! I will be starting medical school this upcoming fall. Some of my hobbies include painting, baking, and going on walks with my dog! I have been a volunteer at GiGi’s for about a year now, most recently as a Literacy Tutor! I have had a lot of fun getting to know families, seeing firsthand the progress each participant is having because of the FREE programs offered. I am excited to bring my learnings from each person I volunteer and participate with into my education and future as a medical professional! I enjoy working with children and am very excited to be an LMNOP leader this year!

I’m Shreya, a rising college sophomore studying Neuroscience and Global Health on the pre-med track. Outside of school, I love to dance, bike, and bird-watch! I’m so excited to volunteer and support your family during the LMNOP program! I can’t wait to teach communication and transition skills along with you while having fun learning with music!

Register on our Calendar to attend: www.gigisplayhouse.org/foxvalley/sfcalendar We can’t wait to see you every Saturday beginning July 1st at 10:30 am!

LMNOP is an interactive and engaging program for children ages newborn to 36 months old. This program guides parents and young children through learning basic sign language and other forms of communication using music and language based activities. All while preparing them for the next stage of life – Preschool!!

Goals of LMNOP include:

  • Introduce and practice the use of basic signs/gestures/pictures to support language development.
  • Increase language development, with focus on vocabulary development, following basic directions and social interaction with peers using music, stories and play.
  • Introduce transitions and circle time; key skills needed to prepare children for pre-school and beyond.
