When the Student becomes the Teacher

Literacy in Action: Our tutors use various techniques in our one-on-one literacy tutoring classes. Here we see Vernazia (tutor) and Hope (student) using her dolls as a teaching tool.

“I encouraged Hope to teach her dolls some of the skills she has learned so far, and she just loved it, This really helped me understand just how much Hope had absorbed from our sessions because she was using some of the same techniques that I use in our sessions”-Vernazia
