LMNOP is an interactive and engaging program designed to guide parents and young children through learning basic sign language and other forms of communication using music and language based activities.  This program is for individuals with Down syndrome ages Birth to 3 years.

Volunteer Orientation

All those interested in volunteering at the Playhouse should please attend this Volunteer Orientation session. You will learn more about GiGi’s Playhouse, receive important information, and be matched with the volunteer activities that interest you. We have something for everyone!

Leaps & Bounds

Leaps & Bounds is a program for 3-5 year old’s that will help promote social, emotional, & large and small muscle group development. Children will participate in fun and engaging activities that require movement and interaction with their environment.

Bring a friend (they don’t have to have Down syndrome).

Art Explosion Ages 18+

Art Explosion is an art program designed to provide hands on experience with multiple art media and provide an outlet for individuals with Down syndrome to express themselves, build confidence, and socialize with peers.

Goals include:
*Provide healthy outlet for adults to express themselves
*Build self-confidence
*Promote positive peer interactions and socialization
*Gain experience with multiple art projects

CrossFit Ages 6-12

Please join us at HYTE CrossFit (a few doors down from the Playhouse) for a fun work out brought to you by Hyte Crossfit and their trained cross-fit instructors. We will be ending the workout at the Playhouse with a healthy snack. This is a program suitable for children with Down syndrome ages 6 to 12.

CrossFit ages 13+

Family Night with the Fort Myers Miracle baseball team

Join us for Family Night with the Fort Myers Miracle Baseball team on May 17. This is Superhero Night and you can dress up as your favorite Superhero. Destination Discovery

Destination Discovery supports the development of fine motor skills, gross motor skills, social skills and language through purposeful play and peer to peer interaction in a casual and fun setting. This program also brings families together to share experiences and build relationships. All ages welcome.

Family Speaker Series – Eliana Tordio, School Advocate

On May 18th, 1:30-3, our first speaker will be Eliana Tardio. Eliana is a world-wide school advocate.

Eliana Tardio is the mother of Emir and Ayelen, both with Down syndrome. Emir is the first student fully included on access points in Lee County and is in Middle School in Three Oaks Elementary. Ayelen is in Pinewoods Elementary in 5th grade, included full time as well. Eliana is a world-wide inclusion advocate with more than half a million followers on social media and a bilingual blog with more than 200k monthly views. Among many awards, she has been named as Best Latino Advocate through the use of Social Media in an initiative of Latinos in Social Media and The White House on 2016 and Inclusion Leader by Hodges University on 2017. She recently participated in the Census Migrant Summit, invited by the Department of Commerce, as one of the Top 30 Florida Latina Community Leaders. She has a bachelor in Communications and PR, and master degrees in Marketing, and Legal Studies.
