World Down Syndrome Day 2021

Please join GiGi’s Playhouse Fargo in celebrating World Down Syndrome Day on March 21, 2021. Did you know individuals with Down syndrome have 3 copies of the 21st chromosome, instead of 2? Of course, that is why we celebrate on the 21st day and in the 3rd month of every year! This day is all about spreading love and acceptance throughout our community, as well as raising awareness and educating others about Down syndrome.

Check out ways you can celebrate World Down Syndrome Day:

  •  Present to your child(ren)’s class about Down syndrome.
  •  Perform random acts of kindness.
  •  Make the Generation G Promise: to be accepting, kind, and generous.
    • Draw a heart on your hand and challenge your friends to make the promise!
  •  Wear GiGi’s apparel or fun, mismatched socks to start conversations about acceptance. Let’s see those socks!
  •  Host a $1 Gene’s (jeans) day at work, whether you’re working at home or in the office, and donate to GiGi’s Playhouse Fargo.
  •  Mention GiGi’s Playhouse Fargo on social media! Tag @gigisplayhousefargo or use the hashtag #gigisplayhousefargo #WDSD so we can celebrate acceptance together!
  •  Drive by GiGi’s Playhouse Fargo on Sunday, March 21, 2021 from 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm and show us your crazy socks to win some GiGi’s Swag!
