Hop, Skip & Jumpers starts in September
Our Hop, Skip and Jumpers program is designed for 3-6 year olds and their families to help promote social, emotional and gross motor development through a variety of activities, including interactive play, sharing, cooperative games and physical activity. Creativity and movement will be incorporated throughout the program.
Goals:
· Increase appropriate peer interactions and social skill development
· Promote gross motor development to minimize the impact of low muscle tone
· Increase coping skills and ability to manage transitions through calming exercises and transition support
Hop, Skip and Jumpers will be held at GiGi’s Playhouse Des Moines on the 3rd Saturday of each month from 10:45-11:30am! Each month we will have a theme with loads of fine motor, gross motor, confidence building, peer interaction and learning going on each month! Check out our calendar for themes Click Here!
We will see you on September 17th for COLORS AROUND US! All participants will be focusing on colors this month. We will have a balloon color sort and will be creating sticky wall rainbow art. We will also decorate a colorful group mural using our artistic abilities and cooperative working skills.
