Team “Memories of Mia”

We walk to honor the memory of 4 month old Mia, daughter of Trista & Paul Vail of Runnells. Sister to Sydney, Cam & Colt. Mia was born in November 2007 and gained her angel wings in April 2008. She was an organ donor. The picture on our team page was taken 1 week before her heart surgery. Her Grandma Sharon had just said, “Mia! Mia! Mia!” which caused her to look and smile beautifully. Her Papa Doug joked that while family friend, Meredith was holding the camera, God took the photo.  Her Grandma Lucy, Papa Mervin, Aunt Sasha & Aunt Andie come every year to volunteer at the event.

While we can’t spoil her anymore, we can spoil all of the other kids at GiGi’s and cheer them on!  We LOVE hearing about their successes and accomplishments, but most of all we love seeing the smiles! In those moments, we get to catch a glimpse of the dreams we had for Mia!
