Help Welcome Diana to GiGi’s Chicago

Diana Moreno is a rising senior at National Louis University and will be interning with GiGi’s Playhouse Chicago for the 2019 Summer. Diana grew up in the Southside of Chicago. She is majoring in Psychology and Human Services. She loves nature and finding different ways to help others. She plans to continue her education and pursue her masters. Diana is excited to be part of GiGi’s mission of acceptance for all and embrace the families, schools, and communities of individuals with Down syndrome.

What do you want to do upon graduating from NLU?

I plan to pursue my master’s in Psychology in Education and work in Domestic Violence organizations, provide therapy at Juvenile Detentions, and other human resources categories.

If you could travel, where would you go?

If I could travel, I would love to go to the Bahamas.

If you could have dinner with anyone from history, who would it be?

I would enjoy having dinner with Frida Kahlo.

What do you love most about summer in Chicago? What do you look forward to in the summer?

I love the carnivals, going to the Taste of Chicago, La Fiesta del Sol, the diversity in Chicago is fascinating. I look forward to trying different delicious foods in the Taste of Chicago.
