Volunteer Spotlight: Jeff

• Tell us a little bit about yourself.
  • I am a Professional Family Entertainer and I love interacting with people.

• How did you learn about GiGi’s and what do you do at the Playhouse?
  • Through my son. He was a part of the construction crew who remodeled the facility where the Playhouse is currently located.

• We want to get to know you, what are some of your favorites? (food, color, season, activity, etc.)
  • My favorite color is purple, I enjoy any type of food and I enjoy making people laugh and feel good about themselves.

• What is your favorite experience you have had at the Playhouse?
  • I thoroughly enjoy meeting the different families and the encouragement I get to be to them.

Jeff has been volunteering at the Playhouse since June of 2019 – right after our grand opening! Jeff participated in our American Sign Language classes earlier this year to better his understanding and improve communication with different families. He has provided us with his entertainment skills and is an active volunteer in our Friends, Fun, & Fitness group and we are grateful for all of the fun, positivity and compassion he brings to our participants and families. Friends, Fun, & Fitness (FFF) runs every other Monday from 6-7PM EST. FFF introduces the key movements of foundational, hip strengthening and vestibular/balance exercises. We focus on improving areas of fitness through activities in strength, endurance, joint stability, balance, movement control and more.
