Volunteer Spotlight: Deann

At GiGi’s Playhouse Canton, our volunteers bring heart, energy, and dedication to everything they do—and today, we are thrilled to celebrate Deann Moore!

Deann’s favorites give a peek into her joyful personality: her favorite color is red, she loves Mexican food, and she adores the seasons of spring and fall. She is always ready for travel adventures, from family beach vacations in Hilton Head to a memorable trip to Ireland in 2024.

Her journey with GiGi’s Playhouse began as a grandmother seeking the best ways to support Renny. Deann started volunteering as a reading tutor, learning new methods to help children grow, and has since expanded her role to tutoring math as well. She also pitches in wherever needed around the Playhouse, from sweeping floors to light cleaning, always with a smile.

What Deann treasures most about her time at GiGi’s is the time spent with the amazing kids she tutors. She says each child holds a special place in her heart, and that connection drives her commitment to support our programs.

We are so grateful for Deann’s generosity, knowledge, and warmth. Volunteers like her remind us that GiGi’s Playhouse is not just a place—it’s a family, a community, and a space where everyone can learn, grow, and thrive.

Thank you, Deann, for sharing your heart, your time, and your talents with GiGi’s Playhouse Canton! Applications for literacy and math tutors are open for our Summer 2026 session until May 18th – apply now to make an impact!
