Best of All: Ryan’s Passion for Helping Others

If you’ve spent any time at GiGi’s Playhouse Canton since we opened, chances are you’ve met Ryan T. He is a friendly face who brings joy, dedication, and a whole lot of Generation G’s heart to everything he does!

Ryan is not only a participant in our adult programs who happens to have Down syndrome, but he’s also a valued volunteer who goes above and beyond to make our Playhouse a welcoming space for everyone. Whether he’s helping take out the trash with his buddy Erik, cleaning windows, or lending a hand with crafts, Ryan shows up with enthusiasm and a smile.

Ryan is currently a student at Siffrin Academy at Kent State Stark and has been part of the GiGi’s family for many years. Even before his class began volunteering, Ryan was already stepping up – especially when it came to helping the littlest members of our community. He has a special place in his heart for the babies who visit GiGi’s for LMNOP, and it’s clear they love him just as much as he loves them!

Ryan’s favorite part of GiGi’s Playhouse is making birthday cards, spending time with friends, and sharing his favorite things – like hot dogs, the color purple, and a refreshing Sprite. And of course, no conversation with Ryan would be complete without mentioning his all-time favorite: the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! In fact, the TMNT made a special appearance at GiGi’s for Ryan’s 21st birthday a few years ago!

Ryan, your kindness, dedication, and passion for helping others truly make you the Best of All. Thank you for all you do to make GiGi’s a brighter place. “Cowabunga, dude!” We’re so lucky to have you!
