GiGi’s Joins the Annapolis First Sunday Arts Festival

Live entertainment, artists galore, food trucks and more line West Street and Calvert Street in downtown Annapolis, the first Sunday of each month from May through November for a festival that draws both locals and out-of-towners for a day of fun. September 7th, GiGi’s Playhouse Annapolis joined the event to bring information about its free purposeful programming.

Volunteers Donaileen and Sharon Dondero, Sue Chapin, Joey Carlson, Ann Daubert, Lynn and Emily Tuttle, Ollin and Hannah Hart were joined by GiGi’s Annapolis Executive Director Pauline Markward and Speech and Language Pathologist/Adult Career Program Coordinator, Mary Lee Walls and her husband Charlie Walls to manage the information booth.

Families who have a differently abled child or an adult gathered information about in-person programs at the Annapolis Playhouse. Additionally, they were shown how to set up a GiGi account, access the online calendar of classes and programs, and discuss their family’s individual needs. Potential volunteers also stopped by the booth to learn about where their interests might be useful.
