20150220_155646-12Name: Rachel Lindstrom

Volunteer Area: Windsor Heights/Des Moines

Tell us about yourself (Professional and Family).

I work with individuals who are mentally and/or physically disabled in their own home, helping them with their activities of daily living. I have 3 kids Evelyn, Mason and Corbin.

Why did you decide to volunteer at GiGi’s Playhouse?

After looking art GiGi’s website, listening to testimonials and learning about what GiGi’s does I decided I had to be a part of something wonderful.

What is the most inspiring Program to you and why?

There is not any ONE program that I find inspiring. What I find inspiring is that GiGi’s has a program for all ages and a program to help with any aspect individuals with Down syndrome struggle with.

Where do you see the future of GiGi’s Playhouse Des Moines heading?

GiGi’s will only get bigger and better! Des Moines is so fortunate to have such an organization in the community.
