Ronald MacDonald House Testimonial
Since the summer, our adult programs have focused on volunteering within our local community. The Achievers and GiGi Prep students have been regularly visiting the Ronald McDonald House Greater Hudson Valley on Mondays to bake delicious treats for the families staying there.
We are excited to share RMHGHV’s testimonial and to celebrate the hard work of our participants! Congratulations to all the participants and volunteers who have made this initiative possible!
The partnership between GiGi’s Playhouse and RMHGHV has been nothing short of remarkable and inspiring. The Monday baking sessions have brought a sense of joy, community, and creativity to all involved. Not only do these sessions provide hands-on learning opportunities for the participants, but they also create a wonderful bonding experience for everyone at RMHGHV. Families often come up to me saying, “These oatmeal cups were so good, who made these?” or “Can you get me the recipe for those banana bars?” or “I love when GiGi’s Playhouse baking group comes so much!”
Each week, families, volunteers, and staff eagerly look forward to the amazing baked goods the participants create. The delicious treats are always a highlight and bring smiles to everyone’s faces. It has become an eagerly anticipated activity, and the sense of pride and accomplishment from the participants shines through in their work!
The positive energy and creative recipes that the group members experience during these sessions have truly made an impact on our organization. Each baked good is prepared with love and comfort, offering our families a sense of warmth during incredibly difficult times.
We deeply appreciate the time, effort, and heart that GiGi’s Playhouse has dedicated to this initiative, and we look forward to continuing this meaningful collaboration!
