GiGi’s Playhouse is Open for In-person Programming!

We are so happy to announce that the Playhouse will be shifting to in-person programming the week of February 22nd! We are excited to share the Playhouse, see all of our friends and finally be with them in a safe manner. We cannot wait!

Our Playhouse board and volunteers have worked to create a safe environment for your attendance. Following the CDC guidelines and the GiGi’s Playhouse National Standards for being opening, along with following local COVID-19 numbers we feel it is an appropriate decision to offer in-person programming at this timeWe know the benefits of in-person instruction for our participants and that is also a large reason for offering programming at the Playhouse! Just know your health and safety are our priority. This includes cleaning and sanitizing standards, COVID-19 related welcome sequence, visual markers to facilitate physical distancing, and more.

We understand these are stressful times. We respect all decisions regarding your participation at the Playhouse. That is why we are so pleased to be able to continue to offer GiGi’s At Home programming for all participants, siblings, and parents. The fun and uplifting times will still continue at the comfort of your own home.

What to expect:

  • In-person program participation numbers will be limited to participant and one parent. This is different than what is practiced during our Spread a Little Kindness program as this program allows for family pods and there is limited movement / engagement within the Playhouse. We will continue to monitor how in-person programming is going, local COVID-19 numbers to evaluate when we can allow additional family to attend.
  • All participants must RSVP for all programs by clicking on the program in the Monthly Program Calendar. No program drop-ins please.
  • The Playhouse will look a bit different to accommodate social distancing with visual cues. Most furniture and toys will either be moved around, or inaccessible during programming.
  • All Playhouse staff, volunteers and visitors over age 2 must wear a face mask or buff.  Medical exemptions are accepted but social distancing MUST be practiced. Click HERE to download a social story to help your loved one prepare for wearing a mask.

Please check out our online calendar for specific program offerings. Be sure to check for each event “virtual” or “in-person” notation on the program and sign up appropriately.

We are in this together!

We thank you for helping us provide and maintain a safe environment for all.  If you have any questions regarding our Playhouse opening for programming, please email us at wausau@gigisplayhouse.org.

We can’t wait to see you!
