🌟 Volunteer Spotlight: Devin 🌟
Meet Devin, one of our amazing GiGi’s Virtual Playhouse volunteers! This summer, she brought her passion for helping others to several programs, including the Summer Literacy Program, GiGi’s Kitchen Adult, and Friends Fun Fitness Teen.
“I wanted to get involved due to my love of helping others,” Devin shared. “Advocating for and looking out for people with disabilities is very important to me.”

In GiGi’s Kitchen Adult, Devin loved seeing participants and their family members cook together, sharing joy and learning new skills as a team. In the literacy program, she celebrated every milestone especially when students learned to pronounce new letter sounds.
Her advice to future volunteers? “It’s incredibly rewarding. Give back to your community and help others in need, especially if you have the time for it.” 💛
Devin also shared a heartfelt thank you: “I would like to thank my late mother for instilling in me the importance of helping and taking care of others. If it wasn’t for her love, influence, and support over the years, I wouldn’t be where I am. And I would like to thank the amazing staff at GiGi’s Playhouse for the support they have shown me since I started volunteering here. It’s been an incredible, life-changing experience so far.”
Thank you, Devin, for your compassion, dedication, and for making every participant feel valued and empowered!
