GiGi’s Playhouse has an Executive Director

GiGi’s Playhouse is thrilled to announce the appointment of Alyssa Johnston as its new Executive Director.  With an impressive background in nonprofit leadership, grant writing, and community engagement, Alyssa brings a wealth of experience and passion to the organization’s mission.

Alyssa has dedicated her career to serving others through strategic fundraising initiatives, building sustainable community partnerships, and securing critical grant funding to support impactful programs. Her decades of service in the nonprofit sector reflect a lifelong commitment to inclusion, empowerment, and positive change. 

“We are excited to welcome Alyssa Johnston to the GiGi’s Playhouse family,” said Mary-Jo Klein, Board of Managers President. “Her leadership and deep community ties will be instrumental in expanding our reach and strengthening our support to individuals with Down syndrome and their families.”

As Executive Director, Alyssa will oversee operations, lead fundraising efforts, and work closely with staff, volunteers, and supporters to advance GiGi’s Playhouse’s mission in the community.
“I am thrilled to join the incredible community at GiGi’s Playhouse and support their purpose of changing the way the world views Down syndrome.”

Intern to Offer Sports Program

Leah Fuety is launching a fun, sports-focused program where participants will help choose which sports they want to learn about. You’ll also get the chance to play games and have fun while exploring the sports you pick!
