A Warm Welcome to a New Chapter- Testimony 1

Stepping into the role of Executive Director at GiGi’s Playhouse Syracuse has been nothing short of amazing. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was met with kindness, enthusiasm, and a strong sense of purpose. It quickly became clear that this Playhouse is more than just a center for programs—it’s a home filled with heart that welcomes all who share in the mission.

The GiGi’s community has welcomed me with open arms, and I’m so grateful for the many families, volunteers, staff members, and board members who have taken the time to introduce themselves, share their stories, and offer their support. There’s a beautiful energy here—one of unconditional love, joy, and possibility—and it’s something you can feel in every high-five, every program, and every interaction.

What has stood out most is how deeply invested everyone is in our purpose to change the way the world views Down syndrome and to send a global message of acceptance for all. Every day, I see that mission in action—from participants achieving their goals to volunteers giving their all to make programs meaningful and fun. The level of dedication is truly inspiring.

As I settle into this new role, I feel a deep sense of responsibility and pride. I’m honored to help lead the Playhouse into its next chapter of growth, collaboration, and impact. I look forward to building new relationships, strengthening existing ones, and ensuring that every person who walks through our doors feels valued, celebrated, and empowered.
