Volunteering

In November GiGi’s Playhouse had their grand opening. Since then I have been volunteering there. I am working in the office with our intern Laura, she will be with us until May. While I have been volunteering, I have been taking inventory of the playroom where the toddlers and babies play. I have made binders, hanging folders, and I make copies for the folders. I have also been cleaning out the office for work space, filing, and computer work. I am meeting new families, giving tours, and answering phone calls. It is so cool, I really love it!  After the first of the year I am looking forward to a paycheck. I will be getting paid by then. I can’t wait!

Programming and Club GiGi

This past Sunday Gigi’s Playhouse had a family brunch, they were serving food and singing to the karaoke machine. This upcoming Saturday, December 15th from 6-8 pm, we are having Club GiGi  for the first time and we will be doing a Christmas Cocktail party with non-alcohoicl punch,  a Christmas movie, and karaoke Christmas Caroling. Anyone who is above 18 years of age with Down Syndrome is welcome to come and check it out. I promise it will be a good time!
