Jaydon & Marty Shine Bright – Best of All at GiGi’s Playhouse Sacramento!

In July, Jaydon participated in our Social Skills for School-Age Learners program, where his Occupational Therapists from Capital Kids OT shared how wonderfully he listened to directions and how he truly stepped up as a leader among his peers. One of their favorite moments was when Jaydon declared:
“I’m going to take my naughty voice and throw it away.”
His positive attitude and determination to do his very best inspire all of us at GiGi’s Playhouse Sacramento. Way to go, Jaydon — you are a true role model!

Spotlight on Marty: An Incredible GiGi’s Volunteer
This month, we are also excited to shine a spotlight on Marty, one of our incredible volunteers at GiGi’s Playhouse Sacramento!
When asked what inspired him to get involved, Marty shared:
“I was looking for a place to volunteer that would be personal and have a positive effect on someone’s life.”
After observing the year-end musical production, Marty was hooked:
“The unmitigated joy and honesty that the participants showed that night was magical and inspiring.”
Volunteering at GiGi’s has given Marty the sense of fulfillment he was looking for. What he enjoys most about working with our participants is their honesty and enthusiasm:
“It is a place that parents and all people with Down syndrome have easy access to the support and assistance they need to live their best lives.”
So far, Marty has shared his talents as a literacy tutor and is looking forward to working in the math literacy program this fall. He also hopes to get involved in our music and fitness programs. We are so grateful for his dedication and the positivity he brings to our Playhouse community.
