Happy Holidays from GiGi’s Playhouse Sacramento!

We’re having a great holiday season at GiGi’s Playhouse Sacramento! Over the last month we’ve hosted three extra fun holiday events- Photos with Santa, Rock Rules Holiday Concert, and a Destination Discovery Holiday Party with a surprise guest!

Our resident rockstar/super special volunteer Mia attended all three events and sat down with volunteer Claire to tell us all about it!

Photos with Santa

Elf Mia- Photos with Santa was really busy but so fun! I got to hold the babies and people were really excited to see Santa! My job was to call families in to get their pictures done and let Santa know if there was a baby or kids coming (in with each family). Lizzie (the photographer) and I are now like best friends and were goofing around with the other volunteers and also did some fun social media posts with Santa and his crew. My favorite part of the day was being there and seeing all my friends.

Rock Rules Holiday Concert

Claire- The Holiday music concert is one of my favorite GiGi’s events! It’s so fun to watch everyone’s hard work and practice pay off- GiGi’s Playhouse Sacramento is full of rockstars who give their all to every performance!

Mia-

• What was your favorite song to sing? All I Want for Christmas is You 
• What was your favorite part of the concert? Seeing my teachers be there with their families and seeing Claire
• How much did you practice beforehand? A lot! I practiced every night before I went to bed and every time I came to GiGi’s even if it wasn’t music class.
• What is your favorite non-Christmas song- Animals by Maroon 5 (of course!) 
• Any parting words? It was fun to see Mr. Alan and I’m just so inspired by the whole thing.

Destination Discovery Holiday Party

Claire- The Destination Discovery Holiday party was a fantastic time! We were honored to have a special guest join us- Domantas Sabonis from the Sacramento Kings! Sabonis joined us in decorating cookies, creating ornaments and holiday cards, and taking countless photos and signing autographs. It was an incredible time and we are so grateful to have such a wonderful supporter in our corner!

Mia- The party was really fun! I really enjoyed being there; I really think that Sabonis is a great guy! I loved having him sign my ornament. I’m really glad that I got to be there, be with my friends, and just have a great time. I also really liked decorating cookies, and I specifically loved being with my friend Dante!
